Pollen
South — Room 301

We are landscape architects who empower communities to connect with and love their environment.
Since being established more than 15 years ago, Pollen has built a reputation for being creative, practical, and deliberately humble in the way we approach our work. We’re also versatile; our projects have spanned a wide range of disciplines and settings, from the inner city to regional, rural and remote locations.

Based in Brunswick, Castlemaine and further afield, Pollen is a certified carbon neutral design studio of good humans. We prioritise work that reduces carbon impacts and makes sustainable choices that tip the balance back towards a more positive future. Promoting improved biodiversity, healthy ecosystems and reducing barriers to inclusion are essential elements of our commitment to community-focused, climate-positive design.
Pollen believes that by genuinely enabling clients and communities, we can make the best contribution to creating great spaces. In turn, this supports people to nurture place and have more positive experiences in their physical environments. We are developing our practice around supporting Traditional Owners to manage and lead the improvement of public landscapes as part of greater self-determination and healing Country. We are proud to walk beside our Indigenous collaborators on this journey and to play a small role in promoting Indigenous leadership.

Our smaller studio size allows us to cross-pollinate ideas, leading to thoughtful, comprehensive outcomes tailored to client, collaborator and community needs. We are AILA (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects) accredited members, and aim to exceed industry standards and expectations. Led by founder Flynn Hart, our Studio is guided by his experience in both local government and private practice.
