Pavement Print Studio: Open Edition

Exhibition and Opening Night

As part of Melbourne Design week, over four days of public workshops at MPavilion RMIT Brunswick, participants worked alongside the Pavement Print Studio team to create screen printed work. Each person designed, cut their stencil, and printed — layering their work on top of others to build something none of them could have made alone.

The prints made across those four days come together here as a large-scale installation at Balam Balam Place. Every contributor is named as a collaborator and co-author of the finished work. The opening night brings them back together to see it whole.

Pavement Print Studio is a mobile screen printing facility built onto a bicycle trailer, operated by students, alumni and staff from the RMIT Associate Degree and Diploma of Graphic Design.
