Participate in a unique community arts project by playing Flight Mode – a co-operative board game that incorporates art-making & story-telling. EXPLORE progressive social, political and environmental perspectives while DISCOVERING the fictional Island of Fafifi, MOMA (it’s world famous Museum) and the Airline that takes you there.

This creative game is suitable for ages 10+ yrs. All abilities welcome. Play as pairs or as individuals. Children need to bring a responsible adult 😉

Also, please bring a plate of food to share (or order in) – we’ll break for dinner at 6 pm. Tea & coffee and coconut water will be provided.

All materials are provided, but you are also welcome to bring collage materials and your favourite mark-making implements (pens, pencils, markers, etc). We’ll be making character mind-maps and story booklets together, as we make our way through the airport and venture deeper into the Momaverse! 

This event is also an introduction to the broader wikimoma community arts project – we’re about to bring an iteration of the Museum of Moving Art to the foyer of Balam Balam Place from the Newlands Neighbourd House.
