Workshop
Anecdote Clinical Support

The session will explore how to recognise early warning signs of escalation and respond in a calm, confident, and informed way. You’ll build practical skills in verbal and non-verbal de-escalation strategies, with a focus on maintaining safety, preserving dignity, and reducing risk in high-pressure situations.
The training will also include guided practice of safe physical intervention techniques, designed to support you in protecting both yourself and your clients when situations escalate. Throughout the session, there will be an emphasis on applying these approaches in real-world clinical contexts, so you leave feeling more prepared, grounded, and equipped to respond effectively.
This hands-on training will be delivered by Martin Gomes (Director and Psychologist, Martin Gomes Psychology).
